Wellbeing Week

April 28, 2024

Wellbeing is always a priority in OlOL but there was a special emphasis placed on it last week for Wellbeing Week. It was a wonderful week organised by Ms Burke and the Wellbeing committee.

-On Mindful Monday we began the week with a mindful moment and listened to the story “The Smartest Giant in Town” to remind ourselves of the importance of caring for others.

-On Thankful Tuesday we focused on gratitude. The girls from all classes contributed to decorating the “Thankful Tree”.

-On Friendly Wednesday we focused on the importance of connection. The girls had great fun mixing yards and the older and younger girls had the chance to get to know each other better. We also had a teacher swop which was enjoyed by all!!

-On Thursday all classes carried out random acts of kindness. Kindness is a virtue that is always valued in OLOL.

-On Fit Friday we had an active day when Eoin and Yvonne visited from MTU, and shared some advice on healthy habits and played some fun active games with each class.!!

What a fantastic week, and well done to all who contributed to the very successful collection for Homeless Cork Charity!
