Lord Mayors Visit Sept 2023

Rang a haon had so much fun learning all about volcanoes. They researched the names of volcanoes and learned a little about them, labelled diagrams, created fabulous explanation writing pieces and wrote up a science experiment, which they put all together in volcano shaped booklets they made themselves. In art they used plaster and paint to make their own volcanoes and carried out a science experiment to make that volcano explode. What a blast we had!

Rang a haon finished reading the novel ‘Flat Stanley’. They really enjoyed reading about the adventures he had so we decided to send our own Flat Stanley off to other counties and countries around the world through the post. Having some ice lollies in the sun after we posted them wasn’t bad either. He started his travels by going to a concert in Dublin which stemmed great narrative stories. There is great excitement receiving return mail, seeing the different places through Flat Stanley’s eyes, learning all about the places he visits and where they are on the map.
