The girls in 4th class have had a busy start to the year! We visited the Community Garden in Ballinlough and we are looking forward to planting and maintaining same as the year progresses. We had great fun composing and performing raps in the Halla. We are really enjoying learning the Swedish Clap Dance and Niamh Marie is teaching us new Irish dancing steps. We became scientists when we learned about separating materials and we even conducted our own traffic survey on the Ballinlough Road!


Trip to the Cinema
We took a trip to the Gate Cinema to see Elf. Santa even made a guest appearance!

Hockey in Ashton
A big thank you to Jenny and Donncha O' Callaghan and all the fabulous mums for hockey training in Ashton. The girls developed their hockey skills and played in mini matches. Great fun was had by all!

Engineering in a Box- STEAM
Both Fourth classes participated in a STEAM workshop for five weeks. The girls covered topics such as Infrastructure, Energy, Transport, Biomedical and Electronic Engineering. They had great fun building bridges, bird feeders, wind turbines, paper planes, boats, hands...
