Fourth Class

Mrs. O’Connell

The girls in 4th class have been extremely busy since September. They have taken part in the Discover Cork Schools’ Project 2022 and now that we are no longer “confined to barracks” we have gone on many day trips ! We have visited Elizabeth Fort, The Crawford Art Gallery and we have gone on walks to The Japanese Gardens. They have completed the “Engineering in a Box Programme” which was delivered via Zoom and the girls thoroughly enjoyed it. They also loved dressing up for Hallowe’en and World Book Day. On Shrove Tuesday, we had pancakes with all the toppings – absolutely delicious !!! You can read more about all the things we’ve done below.

On Shrove Tuesday, we had pancakes in school ! We topped them with strawberries, bananas, chocolate spread, maple syrup, caramel drizzle, sugar and lemon - not all together- of course !!! They were scrumptious 😋.

Elizabeth Fort Visit

In January, we visited Elizabeth Fort. We had a guided tour and we learned lots of interesting facts. On the way back to school, we stopped off at “Cupcake Cottage” and treated ourselves to delicious cupcakes !
