Welcome to

Fourth Class

Mrs. O’Connell &

Ms. Whelan

The girls in 4th class have been busy bees this year. Each week we complete an activity on our chrome books. The girls really enjoy using the chrome books and have become very adept at researching topics, creating slides and documents. During our first term the girls put enormous work into their Cork Heritage History projects. Their hard work paid off with the girls sweeping the awards ceremony. Check out our blog post to learn more about our projects. We have made a number of visits to the City Hall. We attended the Cork Pops Orchestra performance and a performance by the Army Band. At Christmas it was our turn to perform when we were invited with the Choir (made up of pupils from 4th to 6th) to perform a number of Christmas songs in the Lord Mayor’s chamber. Not only have we been exercising our voices but we have been exercising our bodies. We have been very fortunate to take part in soccer, hockey, gaelic football and Irish dancing.

The girls had such a fabulous time practising their Irish dancing with Niamh Marie. They’re doing so well, thank you Niamh Marie.
