5th Class had a wonderful time in Douglas Community School on Thursday 23rd November. We experimented with bunsen burners, examined our skin,leaves and hair through microscopes and also looked at the anatomy of a rabbit. Many thanks to Cian O'Mahony for inviting us....

6th Class Cake Sale
Sixth Class held the first cake sale of this year last Friday. It was a huge success and the cakes went down a treat with everyone at school. The girls made a superb effort with their baking and have set a very high standard for all the other classes! Well done girls.

The girls had a fantastic time this October developing their soccer skills.
5th Class Trip to the Lifetime Lab
Fifth Class A visited The Lifetime Lab in September and had a great time exploring Forces with Una. They constructed and experienced many types of levers and pulleys. We really enjoyed our visit and look forward to visiting again next year!

Sciath na Scoil

The Our Lady of Lourdes N.S. chess club was formed this year. Miss O' Brien, Miss Arnold and Miss Burke are the organisers. The girls are having great fun learning all the rules and moves. They are looking forward to taking part in some inter-school tournaments....
