We took a trip to the Gate Cinema to see Elf. Santa even made a guest appearance!
A big thank you to Jenny and Donncha O' Callaghan and all the fabulous mums for hockey training in Ashton. The girls developed their hockey skills and played in mini matches. Great fun was had by all!
Both Fourth classes participated in a STEAM workshop for five weeks. The girls covered topics such as Infrastructure, Energy, Transport, Biomedical and Electronic Engineering. They had great fun building bridges, bird feeders, wind turbines, paper planes, boats, hands...

We visited our Community Garden in Ballinlough in early September. We were able to look at all the flower and plant beds. It was wonderful to see all our hard work come to fruition. With the school, we will be taking turns in tending to the garden throughout the year.
We got together in groups and composed a rap based on a nursery rhyme of our own choice. We then performed our raps on the stage in the halla. Great fun was had by all.
We had great craic learning and performing The Swedish Clap Dance. We had lots of fun perfecting all our moves ! Following on from that we got really creative and made up our own dances to the beat of eight.
We really enjoyed working as scientists and carried out an experiment on separating materials. We made predictions and then tested them out. We learned all about filtering, sieving and decanting.
