Happy Easter

Here in rang a trí, the girls really enjoyed the run up to the Easter holidays making Easter bunnies through the method of scrape painting and hunting for Easter eggs. We hope you all have a lovely Easter.

Oh what fun the girls had experimenting with paper mache. They learned about the newspaper’s texture, strength, its consistency and more when mixed with water and flour. They discovered that the flour acts as a binding agent and in the end they made beautiful bowls. Maith sibh.

The girls had such a fabulous time practising their Irish dancing with Niamh Marie. They’re doing so well, thank you Niamh Marie.

The girls in third always have such fun during yard time playing, using the yard marking games and additional materials provided for example interlocking construction blocks. They enjoy making many things which include a turtle from the novel ‘The Wreck of the Zanibar’, that we are reading at the moment.

Happy World Book Day!! The girls had a brilliant time dressing up as characters from books they are reading. They also dressed up as characters they created in short stories they wrote themselves. They had great fun bringing the characters to life. Maith sibh girls.

Fun Forces

The girls in third class thoroughly enjoyed learning all about force, friction and gravity. They also tested how friction affects the rate of a falling object by designing, creating and testing a parachute.

Gaelic Football

The girls in third class are really enjoying their training sessions in Gaelic football. They are having a brilliant time practicing their football skills such as a solo kick and participating in matches.
