There was great excitement in Senior Infants as we celebrated Pancake Day! Throughout the day, we learned about the tradition of Pancake Day and why it is celebrated before the beginning of Lent. The highlight was of course, enjoying the pancakes! Some pupils chose sugar, while others added Biscoff spread and a sprinkle of marshmallows. We also completed a procedural piece of writing, detailing the steps involved in making pancakes.

We have had good fun during December, completing lots of Christmas activities. Santa came to visit and we performed our Nativity play, ‘A King is Born.’ We wore our Christmas jumpers in aid of Cork Simon. We also completed lots of Christmas art.
Happy Halloween from Senior Infants! Today, the girls all dressed up in their favourite Halloween costumes and participated in lots of fun activities. The highlight was definitely decorating Halloween cupcakes with lots of colourful sprinkles.
