After many months of research and hard work 4th class have completed their projects for the Discover Cork School’s Heritage Project. The project is run every year by Councillor and current Lord Mayor Kieran McCarthy. The girls completed individual projects and group projects on the following topics;
- Cork City Gaol
- Páirc Uí Chaoimh
- Cork Market Gardens
- The Shandon Bells
- Cork Airport
- Cork Union Workers
- UCC
- Skiddy’s Almshouse
- The Burning of Cork
- Spike Island
- Cork Harbour
The projects were displayed in the Halla with parents and other classes invited to view them.
